Growing in your walk with God can be amazing. According to the Bible, 100% of people who make up their minds to grow in their walk with God succeed.

According to wikiHow, walking with God can be a thrilling adventure, and those determined to do it will have so much to learn and be excited about.

Here's what you must know to grow in your walk with God:

Pray

Prayer is like oxygen. You need it to grow in your walk with God. The Bible commands us to pray, and it does so many times because it is vital. No relationship can thrive without communion, hence the importance of prayer.

When you pray, you commune with God. You worship him, you tell him about everything and anything, and you spend time with him.

You also get to know him because, in communicating with him, he reveals his mind to you. He starts changing your perspective about things and life, and your life improves a great deal.

Spending time with God is like spending time with a friend. The more you pray to God, the deeper your relationship gets and the more you get to know him, his thoughts, and his heart. Pray because you need it a lot to grow in your walk with God.


Go to Church.

Going to church is a commandment. God made the Sabbath holy, and he expects us to do the same. The Bible says that we should not forget the gathering together of believers like some have. Don't be in the group of those who have forgotten to gather with other believers.

Church provides a covering that you can’t get at home seated and watching church on TV. There is grace in attending church physically, as God would prefer.

In church, when you're down, you'll find grace to pray. You'll hear a word of encouragement that will assure you that things will be okay and that you'll get a breakthrough.

If you want to succeed in your youth, go to church. If you want to succeed in life, go to church. Chuch will guarantee your growth in your spiritual journey.

Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual warfare is something you must be aware of to grow in your walk with God. Once you give your life to Christ and have been translated into the kingdom of light from the kingdom of darkness, the devil is going to be after you.

He is going to be after you to cause you to backslide. You can't afford to not be alert. You need to be aware that spiritual warfare is always going to be there, and you need to fight.

It's easy to forget, but always be sober and vigilant. The enemy is going around like a roaring lion, seeking whom to devour. Don't be one of those that gets devoured. Be prepared for warfare so your growth journey will not be cut short.

Here is how you overcome the devil:

  • The blood of the lam: Let the blood of the lamb speak for you, wash your sins, and cover you

  • The word of your testimony: Testify what Jesus has done for you on a daily basis

  • Read the word every day: Jesus overcame the devil by quoting scriptures to him, and you need to know the word to do this and overcome

  • Pray: When you pray, you invite God into your affairs, and he brings you victory

  • Be still: Don't fight battles by yourself. Bring God into the battle and let him take over

  • Trust in God alone: When you trust in people, the enemy is going to kill your walk with God
